The whole Bible is the eternal Word of God and is to be obeyed by every person today:

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.  God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work” (2Tim.3:16-17).

The Apostles Creed summarizes some of the most important truths of the Bible:

"We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:  Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified [for our sins], died, and buried; He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from where He shall come [again soon to reign and] to judge the living and the dead.  We believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy universal church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting."
